Miriam Skydell and Associates, LLC is a pediatric therapy agency that provides contracted Occupational therapists, Speech therapists and Physical therapists to various schools in New Jersey. Miriam Skydell has been contracting therapist to schools for over 25 years. Miriam Skydell and Associates, LLC is a small personalized agency which values our therapists time. All our contracts are by the hour regardless of student presence, all positions are paid hourly as 1099.
We currently have two OT positions available in Newark, NJ
- From September 2026 through June 2027
- 4 full days or 5 ½ days (The school is flexible)
- Details: Services is needed for 15 students with multiple disabilities, ½ of the students are non-speaking and non-ambulatory. Evaluations and IEP meetings will be required in addition to direct therapy services
- Ages: 5-21
- Rate: $85 /hour
OT – Newark Charter School
- 4–5 days per week
- Kindergarten–8th grade
- General education students receiving OT as a related service through their IEPs
- Classifications include SLD, Autism, and CI
- Approximately 6–7 hours per day, with some flexibility

We specialize in and have earned recognition for our treatment of children with ADD/ADHD, Sensory Processing Dysfunctions (SPD), and Autistic Spectrum Disorders.

Our brand new, fully equipped sensory gym (opened 8/2019) along with separate fine motor and tactile room allows us to utilize a multitude of treatment modalities including sensory integration therapy, fine and gross motor therapy, handwriting programs (HWT®,PAF®, Fundations®), music based auditory processing programs (The Listening Program® and Therapeutic Listening Program®), movement based social skill groups and assistive technology training. Every treatment session is designed to meet the individual needs of your child and to ensure that he/she meets his/her maximum potential.
